How do you connect YouTube?
- Open Social Studio. In Never, open the calendar and choose Connected accounts.
- Add YouTube. Pick YouTube as one of the five slots in your profile set — every slot is swappable later.
- Authorize. Sign in on YouTube's own consent screen. Never receives a posting token, never your password.
- Pick defaults. Choose default visibility, posting window and caption behaviour for this account. Changeable per post.
- Publish something. Queue any finished deliverable to the new account. The first post verifies the connection end to end.

What does Never repair before publishing?
Every deliverable is an EDL, so “wrong aspect” or “too long” is a re-render, not a rejection. Never validates against the limits above and repairs before submitting — you see the fix, not the failure.

Yes — captions can burn into the video for the Shorts look and upload as a .vtt sidecar for long-form, so YouTube serves proper closed captions viewers can toggle and search can read.
What makes a video a Short instead of a regular upload?
Vertical orientation and ≤60 seconds. Never tags each deliverable for the right surface: harvested clips go out as Shorts, the full edit as a long-form upload — same recording, both surfaces, one calendar.
Can it set the thumbnail?
Long-form uploads ship with the thumbnail Never generated (or one you swap in). Shorts use a frame per YouTube's own behaviour.
