So we removed it.
The timeline is the interface of the problem.
Every editor since 1991 has handed you the same thing: hundreds of cuts, and a ruler to drag them around with. The timeline doesn't do the work. It gives you a very precise place to do the work yourself, forever.
Never replaces it with a decision. Every edit is a described change — “cut the ums”, “tighter opening”, “captions like my last one” — and the engine executes it frame-accurately: cuts snapped to the grid, audio cross-faded over real room tone, captions timed to the word. Say what you want. Or say nothing — the defaults are the ones a good editor would pick.
You review a finished video, not a project file. And if you ever miss the ruler, your edit exports to Premiere or CapCut with every cut intact. The timeline still exists. It's just no longer your job.
0 timelines opened. The counter on our homepage is measured, not marketing.
